Fortune Mandarin Orange Pound Cake ($72 for 1kg) – Shaped like a giant mahjong tile with the Chinese word for ‘fortune’, this will be a sure bet at any table. As the locals say, “Huat ah”! Advance order of one working day is required.

Macadamia and Kumquat Tart ($48 for 1kg) – A lovely touch to the table is this glistening golden creation that is filled with crunchy nuts and refreshing kumquat. It is adorned with almond flakes, whole macadamia nuts, marzipan firecrackers as well as an auspicious Chinese symbol of ‘prosperity’. Advance order of one working day is required.

Duo of Prosperity Fish ($98 for 10 persons) – This lucky pair of Mango with Pomelo and Sago and Durian Pudding adds a tropical touch to any Chinese New Year celebration and will bring much joy as gifts. Guests may also purchase a pair of durian pudding prosperity fish at S$108 which serves ten persons.

New savoury highlights:

Golden Fortune Chicken ($198 for 6 persons) – This unique show-stopper of a dish symbolises an abundance of wealth. Delectable ingredients such as chicken, whole Australian abalone, dried scallops, black moss, flower mushrooms and ‘dang gui’ are wrapped in lotus leaves, encased in an adorable chicken-shaped salt crust, and oven-baked for four hours to seal in the rich flavours. Eight ‘golden’ hard boiled eggs accompany this creation. Available for dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North. Advance order of one working day is required.

Braised Pork Ribs with Sea Treasures and Yam ($188 for 6 persons) – This sumptuous claypot dish combines tender meat with must-have festive ingredients such as abalone, dried oysters, yam, flower mushrooms, beancurd skin and ‘tientsin’ cabbage. Available for dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North. Advance order of one working day is required.

Stewed Pork Belly Roll with Sichuan Pickle Sauce - This delicious dish is a labour of love that requires at least six hours of cooking, giving it an irresistibly velvety texture and intense flavour. A hearty slice of U.S. pork belly is hand-rolled and braised with garlic and chilli for five hours. After which, the ensuing rich stock and pork belly roll are removed and stewed with Sichuan pickled vegetables and chillies for an additional hour, forming a flavourful Sichuan pickle sauce base. Notable co-stars in this dramatic piece are premium Australian abalone, dried oysters, black moss and ‘tientsin’ cabbage. Available for dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North. Prosperity ‘Fa Cai’ 8 Treasures Duck ($168 for 8 to 10 persons) – Introduced in 2009 by Min Jiang at One-North, this gastronomic dish is back again by popular demand. This 2-kg boneless duck is stuffed with ‘eight treasures’ of fresh mushrooms, sea cucumber, dried scallops, lotus seeds, fox nuts, black moss, chestnuts and water chestnuts, and braised to succulent perfection. Available for dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North. Advance order of one working day is required.

Prosperity Sea Treasures in Wooden Pot ($308 for 6 persons) - This is a traditional Chinese dish with Cantonese influence that uses only top-grade ingredients such as Australian abalones, dried fish maw, black moss, sea cucumber, flower mushrooms, Chinese dried oysters, Min Jiang in-house roasted pork, ‘tientsin’ cabbage, fresh scallops and ‘live' prawns. Available for dine-in and takeaway at: Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North. Advance order of one working day is required.

Prosperity ‘Yu Sheng’ from Deli, Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North

Hamachi ‘Yu Sheng’ ($118 for large portion, for dine-in only) – Toss to an auspicious new year with this unique mix of ‘hamachi’ (yellowtail), flying fish roe, ‘wasabi ebiko’ (prawn roe), seaweed, French chives, mesclun greens, shredded red and white carrots, Buddha’s hand citron, jellyfish, onions and pomelo, enhanced with chef’s secret sweet sauce and lime juice. The homemade taro and sweet potato crisps, pine nuts and sesame seeds provide that extra delicious crunch to the dish. Available only for dine-in at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North.

Prosperity ‘Yu Sheng’ – Six varieties are available for dine-in and takeaway – ‘ikan parang’, salmon, abalone, lobster, ‘ikan parang’ with salmon, as well as vegetarian – and are annual favourites. Available for dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North; and takeaway at the Deli.

The ever-popular English Afternoon Tea buffet is a great alternative for guests who want something other than the usual Chinese fare. Chinese New Year treats with a Western twist like Smoked Salmon ‘Yu sheng’ and ‘Nian gao’ beignet are also added to the buffet as a festive touch.
