Lunar New Year Festive Dining 2021

Usher in an auspicious Year of the Ox with Goodwood Park Hotel’s sumptuous set menus and lavish buffets at the hotel’s renowned dining establishments from 24 January to 26 February 2021.

New 'Yu Sheng' Stars

The new artful ‘yu sheng’ from Min Jiang at the hotel – Joyful Blessings ‘Lo Hei’ ($188++ for large portion, also available for takeaway/ delivery) embodies the season with edible flowers, goldfish-shaped Japanese pickles and a hand-illustrated Chinese character ‘春’ for Spring. It features raw salmon slices, wasabi flying fish roe, dried kombu, jellyfish, agar agar strips and an array of romaine lettuce, wild arugula, yellow frisee, red shiso, red, white and green radishes, purple shiso, red sorrel, pickled melon strips and fresh pomelo. Accompaniments are deep-fried yam and sweet potato strips, crushed peanuts, white sesame seeds, pine nuts and a dressing made from plum sauce, strawberry jam and calamansi juice.

Min Jiang at Dempsey’s magnificient ‘yu sheng’ this year – Auspicious Abundance ‘Lo Hei’ ($268++ for large portion, also available for takeaway/ delivery) is crowned with steamed Alaskan crab leg meat in a crunchy rice cracker, laid on a bed of romaine lettuce, wild arugula, yellow frisee, red, white and green radishes, pickled ginger and fresh pomelo. Baby abalones adorned with flying fish roe, and sweet peaches encircle the ‘yu sheng’ presented with deep-fried gluten, yam and sweet potato strips, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, pine nuts and a dressing of plum sauce, rosella jam and lime juice.
