Reporting to the Assistant Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Executive is responsible for the sourcing of quotations and purchasing of perishable and non-perishable items for all user departments, and coordinates all administrative matters within the department and other departments on purchases. He/She checks and ensures that all PRs are in proper order as per SOP, calls for tender, obtains competitive quotations and sources for new products for cost effectiveness, and monitors market trends and prices for all products.
Pre-requisites
- At least one year experience in Purchasing
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin; knowledge of local dialects will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing and good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Possess good communication, negotiation and analytical and interpersonal skills
- Able to commence work immediately

- Oversees the complete service of food & beverage for banquet events
- Reports feedback from guests to the Banquet Operations Manager
- Informs the staff of the menus of each function as well as specific setup required and ensures that they performed as instructed

- Coordinates day to day operations for Banquet to maximize profit and achieve maximum guest satisfaction
